From the old town of Richmond, we drove all the way to Kettering Ferry terminal which it is located 30 minutes or 34km away from Hobart town. Bruny Island is actually separated by the D’Entrecasteaux Channel. And what make it more unique and difference is that the island is actually 2 land masses – North Bruny and South Bruny. It is joined by a long and narrow sandy isthmus. Wait! What is this isthmus is all about? As mentioned by Wikipedia, Isthmus is a narrow piece of land connecting two larger areas across an expanse of water that otherwise separates them. And there’s only a few of these places found all around the world! Wowwww! Continue reading
Yeap! We’re finally in the land of Australia last autumn. It came to our surprised that both of us received the same Emirates promotional newsletter on their latest route which is to Melbourne, Australia. Hence, we checked out the flight ticket rates plus the travelling time and we found that it was way too reasonable for this premium airlines. Without any further thought, that its! A return flight ticket for both of us to Melbourne, Australia. Yeahhh! And how Tasmania came into the picture? We were browsing through this blog of Travelling3o for quite sometimes. We really adored all their beautiful pictures especially the one in Tasmania and we told ourself that we should be there one day too! You should check out their full blog entry and the pictures as well! To make it ‘worst’, I was talking to DzuliChan via online and told her about our plan of going to Melbourne. And should we divert our plan to Tasmania too? She persuaded me (without failed) of going there this time around. Continue reading
Another must do activities when you are in Kota Kinabalu is the island hopping at Tunku Abdul Rahman Marine Park. This time around, as time doesn’t permit us, we only managed to cover 2 islands which is Manukan and Mamutik Island for just half a day. The marine park is basically a cluster of 5 islands which is Pulau Gaya, Sapi, Manukan, Mamutik and Sulug and it is accessible via speedboat rides from Kota Kinabalu Town which will take about 15 to 20 minutes. One thing that you should now is that the departure and the arrival are located at Jesselton Point Ferry Terminal which is next to the Malaysia Royal Custom Department. There are numbers of tour agents around the terminal and just haggle like a pro to get the best deal of the day. Continue reading
Yes! We are still here in Kundasang. Still! To be frank, there’s too much to explore here! One thing that we are asking for now is just to bare with us for a few minutes would you? One of the many beautiful places that we not gonna missed is definitely the Desa Cattle Dairy Farm as well as some other places which goes further up to Ranau such as Poring Hot Spring, Tagal Sg. Morali and not to forget the Sabah Tea Plantation. We guess, 2 days here ain’t enough to cover all this beautiful area.
